6.3.4 Refurbishment

Specify the interventions and quality threshold required before the product can return to use. Document cleaning, repairs, replacement components, safety checks, presentation, warranty or disclosure requirements, and the destination for any removed parts or materials (Potting et al., 2017; Rahee & Sarker, 2024).

Track intervention time, component use, pass rate and resale outcome, then use recurring findings to improve the original product specification.
