6.3.2 Repair

Identify the most common product failures and confirm access to suitable skills, spare parts, construction information and service capacity (Ruiz-Pastor & Mesa, 2023; Rahee & Sarker, 2024). Compare the repair cost and turnaround time with the product’s remaining value, then record whether the restored item returned to active use.

Monitor recurring failure points, completion rate, customer uptake and warranty outcomes so that repair evidence feeds back into product design.
