Choose the track for your profile, then complete the version that matches it.
Choose one product from your own catalogue. Using the data categories from this chapter, work through the worksheet below.
The worksheet grid (all levels use this as the base)
01 Product and Producer information
02 Product-specific information
03 Compliance documentation
VET (EQF 4)
For your chosen product or product type, go through the worksheet and mark each data category based on your role:
- Options A/B: mark "Have it," "Partially have it," or "Don't have it"
- Option C: mark "Currently disclosed," "Sometimes disclosed," or "Not disclosed"
Guided questions:
- Which of the three groups (01/02/03) is your strongest area, and which is your weakest? Describe why in a few sentences.
- Pick one category marked "Don't have it"/"Not disclosed." Describe what would need to be created or requested to fill it.
HEI (EQF 5)
1. Assess readiness
2. Assess gaps: for the three categories marked “Don’t have it”/“Not disclosed”, identify which supplier or system could provide the data and what evidence (certificate, test report, declaration) would verify it.
3. Reflect: which of the nine categories would be hardest to close for a small company — and what is the cheapest first step? Deliverable: the completed worksheet plus one A4 page of analysis.
Professionals — SME (EQF 6)
1. Assess readiness with the same nine-category worksheet, from the perspective of your company (or a case company).
2. Design the data strategy: propose the ownership matrix (who creates, verifies and updates each category), the phasing of data collection across product categories, and how the same data will serve the DPP, textile labelling, EPR reporting and green-claims duties.
3. Deliverable: a two-page management brief with a 12-month roadmap and a rough budget (staff time + tools).
