End-of-Life Pathway Map
Learners choose one textile product, either a garment they own, a provided case study or a product from their organisation, and map its possible end-of-life routes.
They should identify:
- What the product is made of.
- Whether it could be reused, repaired, resold, refurbished, remanufactured, upcycled, recycled or composted.
- What information is missing.
- What barriers limit recovery.
- Which route is the most realistic.
- What could be changed in design or production to improve recovery.
VET version
Learners choose a simple garment, such as a T-shirt, hoodie or pair of jeans, and complete a basic recovery route map using a provided template.
HEI version
Students compare at least two end-of-life routes for one product and explain which option keeps the most value in the system.
Professional version
Participants analyse one product or material stream from their organisation and propose a realistic recovery strategy, including partners, logistics, information needs and barriers.
