Circular textile system mapping

This assignment helps learners apply the concepts introduced in Chapter 1 to a real textile product, company or SME context. Learners should identify how materials move through the system, where waste or value loss appears, and which circular strategies could be introduced.

Learners should choose one textile product or SME context and identify three main challenges and three opportunities for adopting circular materials and processes.

VET version

Learners choose a simple product, such as a T-shirt, hoodie, jeans or tote bag, and identify where waste may appear in its life cycle.

HEI version

Students map the basic material flow of one fashion product and explain where circular strategies could be introduced.

Professional version

Participants choose a product or process from their organisation and identify practical barriers and opportunities for circular improvement.
